Jurgita Radzevičė, Head of SBA Home, which encompasses 4 SBA furniture manufacturing companies in Lithuania: „Registering trademarks in the US is a long process and can take up to two years. Therefore, to use this time effectively, we are already filing applications for names that include the names of two states. We have narrowed our location choices to two states—North Carolina and South Carolina. The name of the new SBA plant in the US will be revealed once the final location decision is made. We expect this to be achieved later this year“.
She said preparations for the US SBA investment project are very intensive. Not only are negotiations on the future location of the plant being finalised. Many other processes occur in parallel: sourcing raw material suppliers, building supply chains, procuring equipment, scheduling deliveries, and planning the production process. Some of the equipment that has already been purchased is being shipped from Germany to the USA. The team formed specifically for this project, led by Ramūnas Marozas, former Director of Inno Line, aims to efficiently complete as much of the preparatory work as possible to ensure a successful launch by the end of 2025. SBA group plans to set up a robotic factory in the US, with equipment that will produce around 380 complete and packaged pieces of furniture per hour. The new factory will employ over 200 people.
