Attractive project location
Urban Hub Head of Commerce and Development Lina Volodzkienė says: „The businesses that are coming to the Urban Hub Business Campus show confidence in the project, which is building a community of strong and well-known brands that value customer proximity, accessibility, and visibility. Sinsay fits seamlessly into the area of the project for retail chains that satisfy everyday needs, which is the easiest to access from the busy A6 highway. This building was part of Phase II of the Urban Hub project and already has IKI, Eurokos, Camelia, and other stores; 85 per cent of the retail space in the building has already been leased, and we are negotiating with new clients for the rest.“
According to Sinsay Head of Regional Development Evaldas Balčikonis, the decision to open shop at Urban Hub was prompted by the project’s attractive concept, where customers can easily take care of their daily shopping needs and make the most of their leisure time in the sports areas.
„Our brand’s philosophy is to be as close as possible to the everyday life of the shopper, so we hope that the decision to open a store at the intersection of the two busiest motorways in the country – A1 and A6 – will prove to be a success. We fit out the new store so that the customer can shop with comfort and convenience – we planned the spaces functionally and laid out the product range effectively. We offer a wide range of goods at competitive prices – from fashionable clothes for every family member to functional and stylish home accessories,“ says Mr Balčikonis, adding that this is the twenty-second Sinsay store in Lithuania and the fourth in Kaunas.
Specialised zones in the Business Campus
Phase I of the Urban Hub project in Kaunas has already been completed, and tenants are almost done fitting out their spaces in the first building of Phase II. A total of 70,000 sqm of premises to accommodate 100 businesses are planned to be developed at the Urban Hub project on the Vilnius-Klaipėda motorway, which is the busiest road in the country.
The Urban Hub in Kaunas will be the largest project of its kind in the Baltic States. It is home to both traditional retail chains and businesses taking advantage of the classic stock-office spaces, as well as organisations and service providers looking for modern offices. And this is convenient not only for shoppers, but also for tenants. In Kaunas, Urban Hub has currently developed 28,000 sqm of space, 70 per cent of which is already leased to 26 different businesses.
Urban Hub Kaunas is being developed on the A6 road to Karmėlava to create an easily accessible everyday shopping area for residents of the surrounding areas and people passing by. Speciality shops have also opened nearby, in the already completed Phase I buildings. A significant part of the space is occupied by leisure and beauty services, including a padel arena, a beauty salon, and a Vero Cafe. Customers will also find a range of specialised household and interior goods stores and service providers. Some of the Urban Hub spaces in Kaunas will house corporate offices and catering establishments.
A total of roughly EUR 100 million is planned to be invested over several phases in the Urban Hub project being developed by SBA in Kaunas. The 22,000 sqm Urban Hub project on Ukmergės Street in Vilnius has already been completed, and 65 per cent of the space has been leased. Investments in this building and infrastructure amounted to EUR 30 million.
