EUR 1.6 million bonds for Vėjo miestelis by SBA Urban were distributed to investors in a single day

Urban WIND Residential, a subsidiary of SBA Urban, has successfully issued the third tranche of its EUR 5 million bond issue in just one day. The funds raised —EUR 1.6 million—will be used to develop the first phase of the unique concept project Vėjo miestelis in Svencelė.

Kasparas Juška, Head of Investments at SBA Urban, says: „The successful and prompt placement of the third tranche confirms the strong investor confidence in the Vėjo miestelis project. Two hundred thirty-nine investments were made in the bonds, with an average investment of almost EUR 6 700. The largest single investment ticket amounted to EUR 0.3 million. We plan to complete the bond program with the final tranche of EUR 0.6 million, which we will issue in the next few months“.
Investors were offered the bonds with an annual coupon rate of 9.25%, paid semi-annually. The bonds will mature in September 2026. They were available on the platform BeMyBond. Over the three bond issue tranches in 2024 and 2025, a total of EUR 4.4 million funds have been raised for the Vėjo miestelis project.
Indrė Dargytė, Head of BeMyBond, concluded: „We are pleased with the result, although we could expect a quick distribution the third tranche of Vėjo miestelis bonds, as we already have more than half a year's groundwork with this investment project. Additionally, we have clients, fans of Vėjo miestelis bonds, who invest in every tranche, and those who wanted to do so in previous rounds but were unable to due to high demand“.
The BeMyBond platform is aimed at retail private investors. With a minimum investment amount of EUR 1,000, most investments are up to EUR 5,000. However, larger investors also invest through the platform.
The first phase of Vėjo miestelis is proceeding according to schedule. It will be completed by the summer of 2025 and includes 25 A++ energy-class houses, as well as active leisure infrastructure, a central park, a kiteboarding area, and community spaces.
SBA Urban investment in the 36 ha Vėjo miestelis project on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon is expected to amount to over EUR 70 million. The second phase will offer 36 more additional houses, and the subsequent phases will implement the project's full concept, which includes short-term accommodation housing, co-working spaces, cafes, restaurants, spa areas, a marina and other amenities.
