Jurgita Radzevičė, Head of SBA Home: „We are entering the active phase of the project. We have chosen North Carolina on the East Coast for our first SBA plant in the US. The decision was driven by the strategic location of the logistics infrastructure, raw material suppliers, skilled workforce and investment-friendly conditions for global companies. We anticipate the SBA project will create over 250 highly skilled jobs and boost the region positively. We are about to start modifying the 46,000 sqm building for production“.
SBA Group, which operates five furniture factories and a logistics centre in Lithuania, has already established new company „SBA Home North Carolina“ in the USA. North Carolina is the 12th state in the US and is more than twice the size of Lithuania. Its population is 10.5 million.
„SBA Home has made a great decision to enter the U.S. market in Davie County,“ said Mr. Roy Cooper, Governor of North Carolina. „With more than 800 furniture companies, North Carolina's reputation as the furniture capital of the world attracts growing manufacturers that need a world-class workforce to meet the demand of their global customers“.
The building of the future factory is being modified for production, and equipment transported from Germany is being installed simultaneously. At the same time, the process of attracting employees will begin. The SBA project in the United States is led by Ramūnas Marozas, who previously oversaw the launch project and operations of the Inno Line factory. He works alongside several specialists from SBA Home and other SBA Group companies. They are responsible for successfully implementing the project, establishing raw material supply chains, deploying business management systems, planning production, and distributing products. According to J. Radzevičė, this project is significant for the SBA Group and the Lithuanian furniture industry. Therefore, the best sector experts are invited to join the project team and contribute their experience to its successful execution.
