Lionginas Šepetys, Chairman of the Board at SBA Urban, states: „We have started with the construction of a unique project in the world, Vėjo Miestelis in Svencelė, the concept we plan to adapt and implement in the international market. We focus on refining the company's business model to ensure its global success. We are confident that our new leader, Dainius Puodžiūnas, with his international experience in real estate development and technology sectors, will further strengthen the team working on Vėjo Miestelis. Arnas Bušmanas will continue to focus on implementing the project's concept in Lithuania and its international expansion while also leading the commercial team. We believe this operational model will contribute to successfully realising this unique project“.
The new Director of Urban WIND, Dainius Puodžiūnas, is currently the Head of Business Development at SBA group. He previously led the innovation-driven telemedicine clinic Dimedic for over two years and served on its board. Before that, he worked in various leadership positions at CAPS Group, an international real estate development group responsible for developing more than 45,000 sqm of commercial space. Mr Puodžiūnas is an ISM Executive MBA alumnus who has gained experience creating strategic partnerships, optimising digital processes, and managing change with diverse teams.
According to Mr Šepetys, the successful placement of the first tranche of the Vėjo Miestelis bonds, the smooth start of construction and the continuing interest of potential clients show that the project is in demand on the market and has all the potential for international expansion. Its strength is its solid community, meticulously detailed concept, and reliable developer.
In the first stage of the Vėjo Miestelis development, 25 architecturally distinctive residential homes will be offered on a 4-hectare site featuring a central park, sports facilities, and green spaces. It is scheduled for completion by May next year. The second stage will offer another 36 residential units, and the subsequent stages will fully implement the „city within a city“ concept, including a hotel, co-working space, cafes, restaurants, spa areas and a marina. A total investment of EUR 71 million is planned for the 36-ha Vėjo Miestelis in Svencelė. The project is expected to be fully completed by 2030.
