„The large-scale and competitively-priced financing demonstrates that prime commercial real estate retains its attractiveness and is well regarded by our financial partners, even in times of heightened economic uncertainty. Currently, the BLC Business Centre is 100% leased to respectable and reliable tenants. Integral to the BLC Business Centre is SBA’s revitalised and vibrant Vienybės Square, which has won numerous international accolades. I have no doubt that BLC’s appeal is long-lasting and its competitive advantage is clear,“ says Ignas Mačeika, SBA Group treasury director and board member at SBA Urban.
Luminor Bank has provided a 5-year loan to finance the BLC business centre in Kaunas.
„Modern, state-of-the-art business centres contribute to the improvement of the business environment, which means not only more favourable conditions for businesses, a better environment for employees, but also the possibility to use energy sustainably, which in the context of today’s events is even more important than it was several years ago. We admire the determination of our long-standing partners – SBA Group – to renew the face of the central part of Kaunas noticeably. We are pleased to participate in financing this modern and significant object for the city,“ says Jonas Urbonas, head of corporate banking at Luminor Bank.
The construction of BLC, a class A business centre in the heart of Kaunas on Vienybės Square, was completed three years ago. The investment in the 17,000 sqm building complex and the renovation of Vienybės Square, financed by SBA Group, amounted to EUR 40 million. As a result, BLC was the first business in the Baltics to be awarded the Fitwel Employee Well-being Building Certificate.
SBA Urban, part of the SBA Group’s real estate sector, manages the Green Hall business valley in Vilnius in addition to the BLC business centre in Kaunas. The company has developed Kauno Dokas, a business centre owned by Capitalica Asset Management. Currently, SBA Urban is developing the residential area Nemunaičiai on the banks of the Nemunas River in Kaunas. Notus Developers, a construction management business owned by the company, is developing industrial facilities – the Inno Line factory in the SBA Industrial Innovation Valley near Klaipėda and the new Kauno Baldai factory.
